A gap fill trade bets that a stock which opened sharply lower will move back toward the previous close. This screen lists stocks on Asian exchanges that opened more than 3% below yesterday's close but now trade above today's open on at least 1.5 times average volume, so buyers are stepping in. Traders often target the previous close, the top of the gap, and place a stop below the low of the day. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
