Trade Alert FAQ

What is a trade alert?

A trade alert watches a symbol for you and sends a message when the technical signal you chose appears, such as an RSI or MACD crossover, a moving average breakout or a candlestick pattern, so you do not have to watch the chart all day.

How do I set up a trade alert?

Enter the symbol, open the criteria builder to choose the signal and its time frame, select the alert type and the delivery channels, and click Set Up.

How will I receive the alert?

By email, SMS or Telegram messenger. You can choose one or more channels for each alert. For SMS, add your mobile number in My Account, and for Telegram, follow the setup steps on the Telegram page.

What is the difference between a Once and a Continuous alert?

A Once alert is sent the first time the condition is met and then stops. A Continuous alert keeps watching and notifies you every time the condition is met again.

What does the end-of-day option do?

When it is checked, the signal is evaluated only after the session closes, on the final daily prices, so you are not alerted by intraday moves that reverse before the close. Otherwise the signal is checked during the trading session.

Which symbols can I set trade alerts for?

You can set trade alerts for stocks from more than 40 exchanges, as well as forex pairs and cryptocurrencies.

Why did I not receive an email alert?

Check your spam or junk folder and add the sender to your contacts. Also make sure that the email delivery option is checked for the alert.
