A gap fill trade bets that a stock which opened sharply lower will move back toward the previous close. This screen lists stocks on European exchanges that opened more than 3% below yesterday's close but now trade above today's open on at least 1.5 times average volume, so buyers are stepping in. Traders often target the previous close, the top of the gap, and place a stop below the low of the day. Prices are in euros, and the list covers stocks traded on Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan and the Madrid Stock Exchange with at least 0.5 million euros in average daily trading value.
