A high of day (HOD) breakout is the most common momentum entry in day trading: the price pushes through the session high, triggering buy stops and breakout orders. This list shows US stocks whose latest 5-minute bar crossed above the day's high, while the stock is up more than 2% on above-average volume. This list uses intraday data from the IEX exchange for NYSE and Nasdaq stocks, so it updates during the session. Penny stocks and illiquid names are excluded.
