A wide range bar is a day whose high-to-low range is far larger than usual, a sign that something has changed and big players are active. Range expansion often starts a new move. This screen lists stocks on European exchanges whose range today is more than twice the 21-day average range, on at least 1.5 times average volume. The direction of the close tells you who won the day. Prices are in euros, and the list covers stocks traded on Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan and the Madrid Stock Exchange with at least 0.5 million euros in average daily trading value.
