A wide range bar is a day whose high-to-low range is far larger than usual, a sign that something has changed and big players are active. Range expansion often starts a new move. This screen lists stocks on Asian exchanges whose range today is more than twice the 21-day average range, on at least 1.5 times average volume. The direction of the close tells you who won the day. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
