Business Description
Agios Pharmaceuticals is a US-based drug discovery company focused on diseases caused by problems with how cells produce and use energy. Its main product, PYRUKYND, treats a blood disorder called pyruvate kinase deficiency in adults and is being studied for use in children and in patients with sickle cell disease and thalassemia. The company is also developing several other treatments targeting rare blood and genetic conditions, including phenylketonuria and polycythemia vera.
