Most Active lists stocks on the London Stock Exchange that are rising on unusual volume: today's or yesterday's volume is at least five times the 50-day average, and the price is up more than 5% over the last two days. The busiest are shown first; the top 100 are listed. A sharp advance on a volume surge usually means news, earnings or institutional buying, and such moves often continue for several days. Check the chart for resistance before chasing the move. LSE prices are quoted in pence, and the list skips thinly traded shares.
