Most Active lists stocks on the Toronto Stock Exchange that are rising on unusual volume: today's or yesterday's volume is at least five times the 50-day average, and the price is up more than 5% over the last two days. The busiest are shown first; the top 100 are listed. A sharp advance on a volume surge usually means news, earnings or institutional buying, and such moves often continue for several days. Check the chart for resistance before chasing the move. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the list covers TSX-listed stocks with at least C$1 million in average daily trading value.
