Hot Stocks lists stocks on the Toronto Stock Exchange that are up more than 5% since the previous close on at least twice their 21-day average volume, biggest gainers first; the top 100 are shown. A big price gain on heavy volume shows real demand rather than a drift in a thin market, and such moves often come from earnings, upgrades or breakouts. Strong moves can extend for days, but late entries carry more risk. Prices are in Canadian dollars, and the list covers TSX-listed stocks with at least C$1 million in average daily trading value.
