Gaps usually follow news released outside trading hours, such as earnings, guidance or a deal. Some gaps keep running as buyers pile in, while others fill as early buyers take profits, so traders watch whether the price holds above the opening range. Prices are in Indian rupees, and the list covers BSE-listed stocks with at least 50 million rupees in average daily trading value.
