Descending Triangle

UK

A descending triangle forms when price makes lower highs against flat support, as sellers press harder on each rally. It is usually read as bearish, and a close below support signals the breakdown. This screen lists stocks on the London Stock Exchange where a descending triangle pattern was identified on one of the last five bars, most actively traded first. LSE prices are quoted in pence, and the list skips thinly traded shares.

Screening formula:
exch(lse) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 50 and (desc_triangle)@[0..4] and sortby(advol(5), desc) and show(advol(5) as turnover_5d_m)
