Cup and Handle

UK

The cup and handle is William O'Neil's favorite bullish continuation pattern: a rounded base followed by a short, shallow pullback, the handle, before a breakout to new highs. This screen lists stocks on the London Stock Exchange where a cup and handle pattern was identified on one of the last five bars, most actively traded first. LSE prices are quoted in pence, and the list skips thinly traded shares.

Screening formula:
exch(lse) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 50 and (cup_handle)@[0..4] and sortby(advol(5), desc) and show(advol(5) as turnover_5d_m)
