Cup and Handle

Europe

The cup and handle is William O'Neil's favorite bullish continuation pattern: a rounded base followed by a short, shallow pullback, the handle, before a breakout to new highs. This screen lists stocks on European exchanges where a cup and handle pattern was identified on one of the last five bars, most actively traded first. Prices are in euros, and the list covers stocks traded on Xetra, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam, Euronext Milan and the Madrid Stock Exchange with at least 0.5 million euros in average daily trading value.

Screening formula:
exch(xetra,bme,mil,par,ams) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 0.5 and (cup_handle)@[0..4] and sortby(advol(5), desc) and show(advol(5) as turnover_5d_m)
