Ascending Triangle

UK

An ascending triangle has a flat top and rising lows: buyers keep stepping in higher while sellers defend one level. It usually resolves with an upside breakout. This screen lists stocks on the London Stock Exchange where a ascending triangle pattern was identified on one of the last five bars, most actively traded first. LSE prices are quoted in pence, and the list skips thinly traded shares.

Screening formula:
exch(lse) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 50 and (asc_triangle)@[0..4] and sortby(advol(5), desc) and show(advol(5) as turnover_5d_m)
