Sector leaders are the stocks that outperform their own sector, the names fund managers rotate into when money flows to the group. The Utilities Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLU) tracks the large utility companies of the S&P 500, so beating XLU means beating the sector itself. This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq utility stocks whose price gain over the last month (21 trading days) is greater than that of XLU, the top 100 by one-month gain, with the lead over XLU in percentage points. Penny stocks and illiquid names are excluded.
