Sector leaders are the stocks that outperform their own sector, the names fund managers rotate into when money flows to the group. The Materials Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLB) tracks the large materials companies of the S&P 500, so beating XLB means beating the sector itself. This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq materials stocks whose price gain over the last month (21 trading days) is greater than that of XLB, the top 100 by one-month gain, with the lead over XLB in percentage points. Penny stocks and illiquid names are excluded.
