The Shiller P/E, or CAPE ratio, divides the price by ten years of inflation-adjusted earnings, smoothing out booms and busts. Robert Shiller made it famous as a long-term valuation gauge. This screen lists stocks on Asian exchanges with a cyclically adjusted P/E ratio below 12 and a return on equity above 10%, cheapest first. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
