Gold miners give leveraged exposure to the gold price: when gold rises, miners' profits often rise much faster. Investors buy them as a hedge against inflation and currency debasement. This screen lists gold mining stocks on Asian exchanges, ranked by price performance over the last three months, strongest first. Prices are in each exchange's local currency, and the list covers stocks traded in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul and Jakarta with at least about US$0.7 million in average daily trading value.
