Sector leaders are the stocks that outperform their own sector, the names fund managers rotate into when money flows to the group. The Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) tracks the large energy companies of the S&P 500, so beating XLE means beating the sector itself. This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq energy stocks whose price gain over the last month (21 trading days) is greater than that of XLE, the top 100 by one-month gain, with the lead over XLE in percentage points. Penny stocks and illiquid names are excluded.
