Sector leaders are the stocks that outperform their own sector, the names fund managers rotate into when money flows to the group. The Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) tracks the large consumer staples companies of the S&P 500, so beating XLP means beating the sector itself. This list shows NYSE and Nasdaq consumer staples stocks whose price gain over the last month (21 trading days) is greater than that of XLP, the top 100 by one-month gain, with the lead over XLP in percentage points. Penny stocks and illiquid names are excluded.
