Ascending Triangle

India

An ascending triangle has a flat top and rising lows: buyers keep stepping in higher while sellers defend one level. It usually resolves with an upside breakout. This screen lists stocks on the Bombay Stock Exchange where a ascending triangle pattern was identified on one of the last five bars, most actively traded first. Prices are in Indian rupees, and the list covers BSE-listed stocks with at least 50 million rupees in average daily trading value.

Screening formula:
exch(bse) and type(stock) and advol(21) > 50 and (asc_triangle)@[0..4] and sortby(advol(5), desc) and show(advol(5) as turnover_5d_m)
