Business Description
Founded in 1816 and headquartered in York, Pennsylvania, York Water Company is one of the oldest water utilities in the United States, collecting, treating, and delivering clean drinking water across 58 municipalities in four south-central Pennsylvania counties. The company draws from two large reservoirs, Lake Williams and Lake Redman, which together hold around 2.5 billion gallons, and supplements this supply through a 15-mile pipeline connected to the Susquehanna River as well as groundwater systems spread across York, Adams, and Lancaster Counties. Beyond drinking water, it also manages fifteen wastewater systems, serving a wide range of residential, commercial, and industrial customers throughout the region.
