Business Description
Western Asset Premier Bond Fund is a U.S.-based closed-end fund that focuses on fixed income investments, primarily holding investment-grade corporate bonds, government and agency securities, and mortgage-related products. The fund targets an average duration of two to three years and maintains an average credit quality of BBB. It measures its results against two Barclays Capital indexes covering high-yield corporate bonds and U.S. credit, and has been operating since its formation in March 2002.
