This fund aims to mirror the returns of international stock markets across both developed and emerging economies, while excluding US-based companies. It does this by holding the same stocks that make up its target index, which covers a broad range of businesses weighted by their available market value. In practice, nearly all of the fund's money is invested directly in those stocks.
