This fund focuses on U.S. government bonds designed to protect investors from inflation, specifically those with more than one year left until they mature. At least 80% of the fund's money goes into the exact bonds that make up its benchmark index, while at least 90% is held in U.S. Treasury securities chosen to closely follow that index's performance.
