The fund puts nearly all of its money into a specific type of financial contract tied to a large U.S. stock market fund. These contracts are designed to behave similarly to owning shares in large American companies. Under typical market conditions, at least 80% of the fund's value is kept in investments that mirror the performance of big U.S. stocks.
