The fund focuses on emerging markets outside the United States, putting at least 80% of its money into stocks and stock-like investments from companies based in those regions. These investments can take several forms, including standard shares, preferred stocks, convertible securities, and instruments that give the holder the right to purchase shares at a later date. A small portion of funds may also be borrowed to support these investment activities.
