Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Kolkata, Hindustan Copper Limited is India's only vertically integrated copper producer, handling everything from mining raw ore to delivering finished copper products. The company operates across the full production chain, turning copper deposits into a wide range of outputs including copper rods, cathodes, concentrates, and by-products such as sulphuric acid and nickel cathodes. Its most significant operation is the Malanjkhand Copper project in Madhya Pradesh, one of Asia's largest open-pit copper mines. In addition to serving domestic customers, the company also sells its products in international markets.
