Launched in 2003 and based in the United States, John Hancock Preferred Income Fund III is a closed-end fund operated by John Hancock Investment Management LLC alongside John Hancock Asset Management. The fund focuses on U.S. fixed income markets, directing most of its capital into preferred and other fixed income securities that carry an investment grade rating or better from Moody's or Standard & Poor's, spread across a range of industries.
