The fund always maintains full exposure to stocks on the long side, meaning it consistently holds positions equal to 100% of its assets in equities it expects to rise in value. At the same time, the fund takes short positions in stocks it expects to fall, with that portion of the portfolio able to range anywhere from 10% to 90% of assets depending on market conditions.
