This fund takes a leveraged short position against an index of gold mining companies listed on public markets around the world, spanning both established and developing economies. It aims to deliver twice the opposite of the index's daily return by using financial instruments such as swaps, futures, and short selling, which may also include positions in ETFs that follow the same index. The fund holds a concentrated portfolio and does not spread its investments broadly across many holdings.
