Business Description
This fund tracks the 500 largest publicly traded companies in the United States by holding shares in the same proportions as the S&P 500 Index, with nearly all of its money kept in those stocks at all times. To manage day-to-day cash movements, the fund may also use financial instruments known as futures contracts to maintain consistent market exposure without disrupting its core holdings.
