Business Description
Core Natural Resources Inc. is one of the oldest coal producers in the United States, with roots going back to 1864 and headquarters in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. The company mines and sells both metallurgical coal, used in steel production, and thermal coal, used for generating electricity, across several states including West Virginia, Colorado, and Wyoming. Its operations also include an export terminal at the Port of Baltimore, allowing it to ship coal to customers around the world. Formerly known as CONSOL Energy Inc., the company adopted its current name in early 2025.
