Calamos Advisors LLC manages this ETF with the goal of generating strong income and growing investors' capital over time. It does this by buying shares in other closed-end funds that appear undervalued ? meaning their market price is lower than the value of their underlying assets ? which creates an opportunity to profit when that gap closes. At least 80% of the fund's money is placed into these closed-end funds, which may be based in the United States or abroad. Because the fund concentrates its holdings rather than spreading them broadly, it carries a higher level of risk than a typical diversified fund.
