The fund focuses primarily on generating income by putting the vast majority of its money into income-bearing investments. It has the flexibility to place all of its assets in debt securities issued by companies and governments outside the United States, including those in developing economies. Up to half of the fund's total assets may be held in bonds and other debt instruments denominated in currencies other than the US dollar.
