Business Description
Arcellx is a US-based biotechnology company focused on creating new treatments for cancer and other serious diseases that currently have no cure. Its most advanced therapy, anitocabtagene autoleucel, is being tested in a Phase 2 trial for a hard-to-treat form of blood cancer called multiple myeloma, while several other treatments are moving through earlier-stage trials targeting related blood cancers. The company is also working on therapies for solid tumors and has partnered with Kite Pharma to jointly develop and bring to market a range of next-generation cell-based cancer treatments. Founded in 2014 and based in Redwood City, California, Arcellx was previously known as Encarta Therapeutics before changing its name in 2016.
