	The Peter Lynch screen applies the growth-at-a-reasonable-price (GARP) approach he described in One Up on Wall Street: smaller companies growing earnings steadily, but not at an unsustainable pace, and priced sensibly for that growth. A PEG ratio below 2 and a P/E no higher than the industry average guard against overpaying, while below-average debt keeps the balance sheet healthy.
