Broken IPOs

Canada

A broken IPO is a new listing that trades below where it started. This list shows stocks on the Toronto Stock Exchange that went public within the last 12 months and now close below their first-day close, biggest losses first. Some recover once the business proves itself, while others keep falling as early investors sell, especially around lock-up expirations. Gains are measured from the first-day close, not from the IPO offer price.

Screening formula:
exch(tsx) and type(stock) and days_since_ipo >= 0 and days_since_ipo <= 365 and c < c[bars - 1] and sortby(change(bars - 1), asc) and show(days_since_ipo, change(bars - 1) as since_first_close_pct)
