This fund tracks short-term U.S. Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities, known as TIPS, with five years or less remaining until maturity. At least 80% of the fund's assets are held in securities that make up the index, while at least 90% are invested in U.S. Treasury securities chosen to closely follow the index's performance. TIPS are government bonds designed to help protect investors from the effects of rising prices.
