The fund focuses on buying ownership stakes in medium-sized American companies. At least 80% of its money goes into businesses whose total market value falls within the range tracked by the Russell Midcap® Index. This approach gives investors exposure to a segment of the market that sits between the largest corporations and smaller emerging businesses.
