The fund primarily holds bonds and other debt instruments, with the vast majority of its assets directed toward this type of investment. A portion may be placed in lower-quality, higher-risk bonds, while a smaller share can be invested in debt issued by foreign companies and governments, including those in developing countries, and in bonds priced in non-US currencies.
