The 3-Bar NR pattern looks at the combined high-low range of the last three bars and fires when it is the narrowest such three-bar range over a recent period, a setup described by Toby Crabel. Three quiet bars in a row point to an extended volatility contraction, and the breakout beyond the three-bar high or low is often sharp.
