This screen finds companies with a Piotroski F-Score from 7 to 9. The Piotroski F-Score, developed by accounting professor Joseph Piotroski, awards one point for each of nine tests of profitability, leverage and liquidity, and operating efficiency, giving a score from 0 to 9. Piotroski found that value stocks with high scores of 8 or 9 outperformed those with low scores, so a high F-Score is widely used to separate financially strong companies from value traps.
