A Heikin Ashi Long Red Candle has a red body at least twice the average body size of the last 20 candles, with an upper and a lower shadow each smaller than half of the body. Heikin Ashi candles average the open, high, low and close of each bar with the previous candle, which filters out noise and makes trends easier to see. A long red candle with small shadows shows strong, steady selling and often appears in the middle of a powerful downtrend.
