This screen finds stocks whose Heikin Ashi close has just crossed above the 50-day simple moving average, a medium-term trend line. Heikin Ashi candles average the open, high, low and close of each bar with the previous candle, which filters out noise and makes trends easier to see. A smoothed close moving above the average filters out many of the false crossovers seen on regular candles, so traders read it as a change in the intermediate trend to the upside.
