A Black Body is a candlestick that closes below its open, so the real body is filled or black and shows that sellers controlled the session from the open to the close. On its own it is a neutral building block rather than a signal, but a run of black bodies, or a large one after an advance, points to growing selling pressure; traders read it together with the trend, the size of the body and the volume.
